The binding of isaac rebirth isaac room

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

The Bedroom is a special room located behind a double plank door, requiring two bombs to open. Bedrooms can be either clean or dirty; each version has a different map icon and color scheme. It always contains a bed in the top left corner and a carpet in the center. Isaac can sleep in the bed once to recover 3 red hearts. Bombing the carpet in the middle of the room will reveal a trap door, leading to either a Crawl Space or the next floor depending on the type of bedroom.

  • If Isaac already has full health when touching the bed, it will not activate the sleep sequence.
  • If Isaac has no red heart containers, the bed will add three soul hearts instead.
    • Therefore ??? will always gain 3 soul hearts when resting at the bed instead of red hearts.
  • The bed provides no benefit for The Lost. Once activated, the sleep sequence will play, but afterward, there will be no notable effect.
  • Using a bed takes no game-tracked time. In spite of the pause in movement and slow fade out, the timer will display the same time when Isaac can move again as it did when he stopped moving.

  • The trapdoor under the carpet will always lead to a Crawl Space.
  • In addition to healing Isaac, sleeping in the bed will also give one additional charge to his currently held Activated Item.
    • The sleep sequence must be activated in order to get the charge. If the player wishes to recharge their item while Isaac is at full health, they have to intentionally take at least half a red heart damage before.
  • The room occasionally has two clean beds instead of one.

  • The trapdoor under the carpet will always lead to the next floor.
  • Occasionally, one Rag Man will spawn inside the room.

Clean Bedroom[edit | edit source]

Dirty Bedroom[edit | edit source]

  • The bedroom looks similar to the inside of Link's House in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Having a trapdoor under the carpet is a reference to the fact that Isaac escapes from his mother by finding one under a carpet in his bedroom. Likewise, the barred door might also allude to the intro, where his mother locks him inside his room.
  • Despite being so similar, Clean and Dirty Bedrooms have different room ids (18 and 19 respectively).

PC BOZK FTYQ: Clean Bedroom. The room is below you. Take Pyro from the item room to open the bedroom.

PC P3RD L4FV: Dirty Bedroom. The bedroom is adjacent to spawn. The item room is in the right room and contains Dr. Fetus.

3DS  67JE EL86: Dirty Bedroom. The room is above you. The item room is in the left room and contains Mr. Mega. The bedroom also contains a Key Master.

Bug! If you use The Poop on the middle of the carpet and blow it up with a bomb, the trapdoor will not appear.

Dice Room - Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

Found behind doors which require two keys to open, Dice Rooms randomize many aspects of the game, depending on the number imprinted on the very large red die embedded in the floor. Stepping onto the center of the die face activates its effect. The effect of a dice room may only be used once, but multiple dice rooms can be used on a single run.

Dice Rooms also commonly contain chests and other consumables.

Effects

The dice numbers and effects are:

  • 1 pip - Rerolls Isaac's currently held collectibles into items from the Treasure Room item pool, like the D4 would. Activated collectibles can be changed into passive ones, but passive collectibles cannot turn into activated ones.
    • Re-rolls each of Isaac's passive items into a random item from the specific item pool where it was acquired.
  • 2 pips - Rerolls all Pickups in the room itself like the D20 would.
  • 3 pips - Rerolls all Pickups and Trinkets for the entire floor. This includes shop Pickups. Does not reroll pickups or trinkets in the Devil Room, Angel Room, Black Market, or Crawl Space.
  • 4 pips - Rerolls any item pedestals on the floor like The D6 would. Does not reroll item pedestals in the Devil Room, Angel Room, Shop, Library, Black Market, or Crawl Space.
    • Item pedestals located in The Shop and The Library are rerolled.
  • 5 pips - Rerolls and restarts the current floor, which is the same effect as Forget Me Now.
  • 6 pips - Combines the effects of the 1, 3, and 4-pip rooms. (Rerolls all held items, pickups, trinkets, and pedestal items.)

Notes

  • It is possible to re-roll a floor into another that has a 5-pip dice room. Getting a 5-pip dice room in The Womb/Utero II can allow the player to defeat Mom's Heart (or It Lives) multiple times in one run. This can be used to quickly gain progress tied to the number of Mom's Heart kills.
  • It is possible to unlock Samson by finishing the first floor and entering a 5-pip dice room.
  • A 5-pip dice room on an XL floor sends Isaac to the beginning of the chapter.
  • When shop pickups are re-rolled via the 3 or 6-pip room, the original prices will remain in place.
  • 3 or 6-pips dice rooms can reroll chests in challenge room or boss challenge room into a collectible. And since those rooms detect whether a chest is open or an item picked up, there won't be any monsters.
  • 3-pip room can re-roll shop consumables into items for the price of the consumable.
    • Using items such as the D6 in the room without buying the item can cause the item to revert back to a consumable.
  • Dice rooms don't re-roll starter challenge items or remove blindfold on Challenges.
  • Dice rooms have a small marker indicating the effect that will be activated when the room is used. This was inspired by this Steam Workshop mod by Wofsauge.

Sacrifice Room - Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

Sacrifice Rooms are special rooms that contain a set of spikes in their center. Isaac can damage himself on the spikes for a chance to spawn a brown chest or golden chest. The chance is determined by the seed, meaning Isaac must damage himself on the spikes for a set amount of times for a chest.

Sacrifice Rooms were reworked, with a wide variety of possible rewards.

Number of sacrifices on Current Floor Possible Rewards
1st/2nd
  • 50% chance - Nothing
  • 50% chance - 1 Penny
3rd
  • 33% chance - Nothing
  • 67% chance - "You feel blessed!" (increased chance to receive an Angel Room over a Devil Room for the current floor; see Angel Room Generation Chance)
    • This does not increase the chance of receiving a Devil/Angel room after defeating a boss; it only increases the chance of getting an Angel Room over a Devil Room.
    • This can cause an Angel Room to spawn even if you have already taken a deal with the devil.
    • Note that this is less of a modifier than the "You feel blessed!" effect below.
4th
  • 50% chance - Nothing
  • 50% chance - 1 random chest
    • The type of chest is governed by the same mechanic as room drops. Thus, brown chests are more likely to spawn than any other kind of chest.
5th
  • 33% chance - 3 pennies
    • These coins do not have a chance to spawn as a nickel or a dime.
    • Note that this is more of a modifier than the "You feel blessed!" effect above.
6th
  • 33% chance - Teleport to the Devil/Angel Room.
    • If the Devil/Angel Room of the floor has not been entered yet, an Angel Room will be guaranteed to spawn (even if you have already taken a Devil Deal).
  • 67% chance - 1 random chest
    • The type of chest is governed by the same mechanic as room drops. Thus, brown chests are more likely to spawn than any other kind of chest.
7th
8th
9th
  • 100% chance - Uriel battle
10th
  • 50% chance - 7 soul hearts
  • 50% chance - 30 pennies
11th
12th and onwards
  • 50% chance - Nothing
  • 50% chance - Teleport directly to the Dark Room

The payouts only depend on the number of sacrifices made. The number of sacrifices is reset to 0 when the player goes to the next floor.

  • The results from sacrifices are all predetermined ahead of time and not when the player steps over the spikes.
    • Items/trinkets that are spawned can be changed, however. If the player checks the items and resets using a method such as the Glowing Hour Glass, they can try to find that item on the same level then go back and make the sacrifice. This new item will again apply with the same rules.
      • Resetting will reset your sacrifices to what it was prior to your reset, unless stated otherwise.
  • Spikes in a sacrifice room can not be flown over, so they can still be used even if Isaac has Flight.
  • Invincibility and shields will not trigger a sacrifice (including Holy Mantle).
  • If the player holds the Callus, the sacrifice room will not function.

Notes on Rebirth Sacrifice Rooms (non-revamped)[edit | edit source]

  • Only one chest can be received per Sacrifice Room.
  • Taking damage down to half a red heart will always drop a chest. Because ??? has no red health, dropping down to half a heart does not guarantee a drop.
  • Dying on the spikes guarantees a chest, which can be useful if Isaac is low on health and has more lives from something like the Dead Cat.
  • Dying in a sacrifice room with the Missing Poster will reveal puzzle pieces used to unlock the The Lost.

Notes on Afterbirth Sacrifice Rooms (revamped)[edit | edit source]

  • If a player receives both of "You feel blessed!" effects, they will stack and the player will be a 65% chance for the respective coin flip (see Angel Room Generation Chance).
  • The amount of health that the player has left after taking a sacrifice does not affect the payout probabilities.
  • The amount of luck that the player has does not affect the payout probabilities.
  • If Uriel or Gabriel are spawned, they can be despawned by exiting and reentering the room. However they will not drop the Key Pieces unless they are defeated.
    • An angel won't drop anything if you already have their corresponding key piece.
  • Dying in a sacrifice room while holding Missing Poster will unlock The Lost.
  • The Wafer, Cancer, and Percs pills reduce the damage of the spikes to half a heart, which allows the player to make more sacrifices.
  • If the player is using the BASE MENT seed, the Dark Room teleport will allow them to escape the infinite Basement levels.
  • Even if the player has not unlocked the Negative yet, they will still be able to teleport to the Dark Room.
  • Dying and respawning does not affect the number of sacrifices made, so Dead Cat can be used on low health to try and gain soul hearts.
  • It is possible to use a Sacrifice Room to access the Dark Room while in Endless Mode. This can be used to start a Victory Lap while the BASE MENT seed is still active.
Bug! Isaac's Heart can be damaged by the spikes in a Sacrifice Room. However, doing so will yield no rewards, making Sacrifice Rooms useless if Isaac has this item.

Angel Room - Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

Angel Rooms feature an angel and several free items: the divine equivalent of the Devil Room. Every time the Devil room is spawned/entered, there's a chance for it to be replaced by the Angel Room if certain conditions are met. After beating the Dark Room or The Chest once, an Angel can be awoken by planting a bomb near the statue (or destroying it with Leo or similar items). This will begin an angel boss fight and allow Isaac to pick up Key Piece 1 or Key Piece 2 . Both pieces are needed to get through the Golden Door in the Chest or the Dark Room to fight Mega Satan.

Possible rewards found in the room include:

Additionally, blue fireplaces, purple fireplaces and urns might spawn in the room.

If an Angel Room appears upon defeating Mom's Heart or It Lives, it will only contain a Beam of light leading to The Cathedral. Angel Rooms that appear upon defeating It Lives no longer contain Beams of light and instead have normal Angel Room contents.

The item spawned in an Angel Room is always free to be taken. See the following item pools for a comprehensive list of items:

Conditions to Make Angel Rooms Appear[edit | edit source]

In order for the player to have a chance to get an Angel Room after killing a boss (or with a Joker card / red chest teleport), some conditions must be met:

  • A Devil room door spawned on any previous floor.
  • No items from the Devil room or black market have been paid for with health over the course of the run.
    • Taking red chest items, using Credit Card , using Coupon , or collecting an item from Krampus doesn't count.
    • Even though it technically doesn't cost any health, taking a devil deal with The Lost will still prevent Angel Rooms from appearing.

Sacrifice Room Exception[edit | edit source]

  • On the 3rd and 5th sacrifice in a sacrifice room, there is a 66% chance that the player will receive the "You feel blessed!" effect. This will increase the chances of the Angel room spawning even if the previous conditions have not been met.
  • On the 6th sacrifice in a sacrifice room, there is a 33% chance that the player will be teleported to the Angel room if they haven't already visited or opened the Devil room for that floor. This will occur even if the previous conditions have not been met.

Angel Room Generation Chance[edit | edit source]

The selection between Angel room and Devil room is made upon opening the door after defeating the floor's boss (or upon teleporting to the room using a Joker card or a red chest).

The game makes a series of coin flips to determine if an Angel room will appear or not. If one of these coin flips succeeds, an Angel room is generated (except for the Devil beggar coin flip). If all the coin flips fail or no coin flips are done, a Devil Room is generated. Satisfying certain conditions gives additional coin flips with varying probabilities:

** These conditions share the same "coin flip chance" in Rebirth.

Examples[edit | edit source]

If Isaac meets the prerequisites and has Key Piece 1 with him, the game will make two coin flips to determine if he gets an Angel room or not. The first coin flip has a 50% success chance and the second one has a 25% success chance. Isaac will only get a Devil room if both coin flips fail, and he will get an Angel room if one of the coin flips succeeds. The chance of failure is 0.5 * 0.75 = 0.375, which means the chance of success is 1 - 0.375 = 0.625. Thus, Isaac has a 62.5% chance to get an Angel Room.

If Isaac meets the prerequisites, has Key Piece 1 , and has destroyed a Devil beggar on the current floor, the chance to fail all coin flips (and get a Devil room) become 0.5 * 0.75 * 0.75 = 0.28125, which means that the chance of success is 1 - 0.28125 = 0.71875. Thus, Isaac has a 71.875% chance to get an Angel room.

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

This article is about the objects called chests. For the floor, see The Chest.

Chests are objects that contain other objects, items, trinkets, pickups, enemies, and more. There are six types of chest.

Regular Brown Chests have no requirements to open and can only contain 1-3 pickups excluding coins. Chest contents can include hearts, coins, keys, or bombs. Alternatively, it may contain a trinket, a card, a pill, or another (smaller) Brown/Golden Chest, which can contain either a Trinket or an Item, respectively.

Golden Chests require a key to open and may contain 2-5 pickups that can include hearts, coins, keys, other chests, or bombs. Alternatively, it may contain a trinket, a card, a pill, an item, or another Brown/Golden Chest. It can contain more than 5 coin pickups. If the player has the Paper Clip trinket, Golden Chests require no key to open.

See the following item pools for a list of items Golden Chests can contain:

Red Chests are most commonly found in Curse Rooms, but can also be found in Devil Rooms. Holding The Left Hand trinket will turn all chests into Red Chests. They can contain the following:

Stone Chests are grey chests that can only be opened by explosions close to them. Stone Chests are most commonly found in Challenge Rooms, Curse Rooms, Vaults, and Devil Rooms. The loot they contain is similar to Golden Chests.

Eternal Chests are similar in appearance to Gold Chests, except they glow bright blue instead of gold, like a soul heart. They require one key to unlock, but can be reopened a random amount of times, each time requiring another key. They can be found in Angel rooms, in I AM ERROR Rooms and rarely in a normal room. Their loot is similar to Golden Chests, but there is a 25% chance they will drop nothing upon opening. If they contain nothing or an item, they will no longer be able to be reopened.

Spike Chests are purple colored chests with spikes protruding from them that will deal damage to Isaac upon opening unless he has the Holy Mantle active, which nullifies the damage, or if found in The Chest/Dark Room, where they are free to open ( Spike Chests will deal damage normally even in these levels). They can be rarely found upon completing a room or in greed mode shops. Their loot is similar to Brown Chests. Unlike other chests, they do not appear on the minimap.

Mimics appear similar to Brown Chests until Isaac moves near, at which point they sprout spikes that damage the player as a Spike Chest would. They can be distinguished from Brown Chests by their darker, purplish-brown coloring, the grayish spot on each side of the latch where the spikes will sprout from and the bloodstain.

  • Consider opening adjacent Red Chests before Stone Chests; Red Chests often contain Troll Bombs, which can blast Stone Chests open.
    • Stone Chests can also be pushed to any position in the room, which can be used to save bombs by hitting multiple targets with one blast.
  • Opening any chest (except for red chests) while on The Chest or The Dark Room will spawn an Item.
  • Chests of all types are considered pickups, and will be doubled by the Rune of Jera.
  • Empty opened chests may be rerolled into other pickups by using items such as the D20, but this must be done immediately, as opened chests will disappear upon leaving the room.
    • A Dice Room set to 2, 3, or 6 will also reroll empty chests in the room.
  • Whenever a chest contains another chest, the smaller chest may also contain another chest.
    • If these smaller chests contain an item, they will be tiny items.
  • All of the icons for the items in the Golden Chest pool are heads or, as is the case for Bob's Brain and Infamy, head-related.
  • For unknown reasons, chests can rarely transform into other types of chests upon re-entering a room.
  • If a chest contains an item, the opened chest will be considered an empty item pedestal for the purposes of duplicating using Diplopia.

Obstacles are objects that will get in Isaac's way in rooms.

  • Blocks movement and projectiles.
  • An explosion's blast radius will not extend past it.
  • Cannot be destroyed or removed.
  • Can be re-rolled by the D12 into a destructible obstacle.
  • Can only be moved over via flying or jumping.
  • Sometimes found encasing an item.

  • Acts like metal blocks.
  • Requires a key to unlock.
  • Cannot be flown over.
  • Small chance to drop a random pickup when unlocked.

  • Can be walked over, but will damage Isaac in the process.
  • Deal one heart of damage upon contact with the player (unless the player has the Callus , the ability to jump, or flight).

Retractable Spikes[edit | edit source]

  • Retract and extend on timers.
  • Can be walked over safely while they are retracted.

  • Stops moving when it encounters a Fire or a static enemy. Continues moving if the fire is destroyed.
  • When Isaac enters a room, the spikes will be retracted into the block and will extend after one second.
  • Can be randomized into an enemy by the D10 , but upon re-entering the room, will turn back into a spike block.

  • Slides around the room aimlessly.
  • May move towards the player if the player is near enough.
  • Is destroyed when the room is cleared.
  • Often appears during the Loki fight.
  • Can rarely appear during a Super Pride fight.

  • When Isaac falls into a pitfall, he takes damage and pops back out after a short delay.
  • Suction pitfalls attract Isaac and are most often found in trap rooms with Silver Buttons.
  • Pitfalls are spawned by several of Little Horn's attacks.
  • Flight makes Isaac immune to pitfalls.

Tinted Rocks[edit | edit source]

Sometimes referred to as "Marked Rocks", they are always marked with an "x", and in some levels slightly tinted/discolored. These rocks are much less noticeable in The Womb and Utero due to them being the same color as the surrounding rocks, but can still be distinguished by the "x" on the bottom right.

Found in: Every Stage

Tinted Rocks have a chance to spawn 1-2 of the following when destroyed:

Super Special Rocks [edit | edit source]

Super Special Rocks are Tinted Rock variants which are much harder to spot, as they have a smaller mark and are not discolored. Super Special Rocks take two bombs to blow up, and drop the contents of two Tinted Rocks.

Super special rocks are unlocked by: Get a 5-win streak, using a different character for each win. .

  • Chance to drop coins or hearts when extinguished.
  • Piercing tears can pierce through fireplaces and all of their variants. Spectral tears are blocked unless they also pierce.

Red Fireplace[edit | edit source]

  • Can shoot red projectiles at medium speed at Isaac.
    • They do not telegraph before firing shots.
  • Shots fired from a Red Fireplace will not spawn directly on the Red Fireplace, but rather near the fire.
    • If Isaac stands too close when a Red Fireplace shoots, the bullet will spawn on Isaac, thus the bullet can't be dodged.
  • Can be extinguished like normal fireplaces.
  • Chance to drop coins or hearts when extinguished.
  • Can rarely replace normal Fireplaces.

Blue Fireplace[edit | edit source]

  • Chance to drop a soul heart when extinguished.
  • Can only be put out by bombs/explosions.

  • Can rarely replace Blue fireplaces.

  • Blocks movement.
  • Can be destroyed by tears or explosions.
  • Explodes when destroyed.
  • Small chance to drop a Match Stick or a Burnt Penny when destroyed.

Pushable TNT [edit | edit source]

  • Can be pushed around by Isaac and enemies.
  • Can be destroyed by tears or explosions.
  • Explodes when destroyed.
  • Occasionally replaces normal TNT.
  • Can be spawned with Mine Crafter .
  • Will explode when pushed into fire.

  • Slows Isaac's movement.
    • If Isaac possesses flight then they have no effect.
  • Can be destroyed using explosions.

Poop[edit | edit source]

  • Can be destroyed by tears or explosions.
  • Has a small chance to drop coins, hearts, or Petrified Poop when destroyed.
  • Can fill in a gap when pushed in the right direction by an explosion, or by walking into them with Leo / Thunder Thighs to create bridges.
  • Can be created by The Poop or a chance every 30 seconds from the trinket Mysterious Candy.
  • If a Black Fly stays around Poop for long enough, it will morph into a Pooter.

Corny Poop[edit | edit source]

Red Poop[edit | edit source]

  • Deals a half-heart of damage when touched.
    • Leo / Thunder Thighs allows Isaac to walk over and destroy red poop without taking damage. Isaac will still take damage if he is standing on it when it reforms.
  • Drops nothing when destroyed.
  • Reforms in 3 seconds after being destroyed.
  • Normally produced by Carrion Queen, but can also be found in specific room configurations in The Womb, Utero, The Chest, and found in a certain room in The Basement.

Golden Poop[edit | edit source]

Rainbow Poop[edit | edit source]

  • Causes a rainbow to appear on the screen when destroyed; pauses the game for a second while playing a jingle.
  • Restores all of Isaac's red heart containers.
  • Rainbow Poop provides no benefit for characters without red heart containers such as ???.
  • If Isaac has Bozo , when he takes damage, he has a chance to spawn a Rainbow Poop.

Black Poop [edit | edit source]

  • Darkens the current room as if Curse of Darkness was active for a few seconds when destroyed.
  • Deals 10 damage and applies the 'Confusion' status effect to all enemies in the room when destroyed.
  • Can replace Poop if Isaac holds Meconium .

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Wiki

Machines are objects that Isaac can interact with to gain a variety of rewards.

Walking up to the machine and bumping into it will consume one penny and spin the slots. The machine then has a chance to spawn one of its possible rewards. Slot Machines appear naturally in Arcades, Secret Rooms and other room layouts, and can be summoned using the X - Wheel of Fortune tarot card.

If the Slot Machine is caught in an explosion of any kind, it will be destroyed, yielding various rewards (see below). The Slot Machine also has a 2% chance to self-destruct after inserting a coin, in which case it drops several random pickups or A Dollar and becomes unusable. The D4 is unlocked when 30 Slot Machines are destroyed (via explosion or overloading) by the player. When blown up in the Dark Room or Chest, it will drop a collectible from the Treasure Room pool, much like brown and golden Chests.

On hard mode, the chances of winning at the Slot Machine are halved.

Possible Rewards from Coins[edit | edit source]

Possible Rewards from Destroying[edit | edit source]

When you destroy the machine, there is a:

  • 10% chance to drop a random pill
  • 10% chance to drop a random trinket
  • 1% chance to drop a Brown Chest
  • 1% chance to drop a Golden Chest
  • 78% chance to drop 2-3 random pickup groupings; for each grouping, there is a
    • 35% chance to drop 1-3 random coins
    • 20% chance to drop a random heart
      • if Daemon's Tail is held, there is an 80% chance to prevent this grouping from being chosen; if prevented, another pickup grouping will be chosen instead
      • if chosen, there is a 50% chance that this counts as 2 pickup groupings
    • 15% chance to drop a random key
    • 30% chance to drop a random bomb

There is a 33% chance of an extra pickup grouping spawning if you are holding Lucky Toe.

Furthermore, if the 78% chance to drop the pickup groupings is selected, there is a 33% chance for the following conditions to occur:

Note that only 1 additional item can spawn from this 33% chance. In the case of having multiple matching trinkets, the conditions are checked in order.

The Fortune Teller is similar to the Slot Machine. Bumping into the machine costs one penny, which will either cause a random fortune or special seed to be displayed on-screen or cause the machine to spawn one of its possible drops. Fortune Tellers appear naturally in Arcades, Secret Rooms, Super Secret Rooms and other room layouts, and can be summoned using the X - Wheel of Fortune tarot card. The Fortune Teller also has a chance to self-destruct after inserting a coin, in which case it drops several random pickups or Crystal Ball. Like the Slot Machine, Fortune tellers will also drop a random collectible item when destroyed in the Dark Room or Chest.

When you insert a coin into the machine, there is a

  • 65% chance of a fortune or seed text
  • 35% chance of a reward; if it is a reward, there is a
    • 30.56% chance to drop a soul heart
    • 30.56% chance to drop a random trinket
    • 30.56% chance to drop a random card or rune
    • 5% chance to self-destruct into random pickups
    • 3.33% chance to self-destruct into a Crystal Ball

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The Lucky Foot item increases the payout chance from 35% to 54%.
  • Unlike the Slot Machine, the chances of the Fortune Teller machine are unaffected by playing on hard mode.
  • When Fortune Teller machines are blown up, they have the same drop table as Slot Machines (see above).

Bumping into the machine will damage Isaac. The machine will then pay out with one to three of any type of coin or rarely, Child's Heart. Every donation has a chance of causing the Blood Donation Machine to explode, giving either a Blood Bag or an IV Bag. Alternatively, it can be destroyed with a bomb, which will cause it to drop several pickups.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • In the floors before The Womb, the machine will take a half-heart of health from each use. From the womb and onwards, the Blood Donation Machine will take one full heart instead.
  • It is possible to be killed by the Blood Donation Machine.
  • The machine will accept eternal hearts first, then red hearts. When Isaac's health is at half a heart (or a full heart in The Womb and beyond), the machine will drain soul hearts and black hearts instead.
  • While the machine takes red hearts before Soul Hearts or Black Hearts, donations do not count as red heart damage for calculation of Devil Room chance.
  • A Blood Donation Machine can be summoned using the XIV - Temperance card.
  • The player can use the machine at no cost while invulnerable.
  • Using a Blood Donation Machine will trigger Scapular once the player is at half a heart. Leaving the room afterwards and then reentering resets Scapular, allowing for further donations using Soul Hearts. Repeating this process after every Scapular activation allows the player to farm coins from the Blood Donation Machine until it breaks.
  • The machine synergizes well with Bloody Penny allowing many more plays than normal.
  • With Isaac's Heart it can be used without taking any damage.
  • Holy Mantle does not prevent damage from a Blood Donation Machine.

The Restock Box is an object added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth appearing in Greed Mode and rare versions of the Shop, Treasure Room, and Secret Room . Restock Boxes can be activated by donating pennies or hitting them with an explosion.

In shops, each activation will cause the box to activate all of the following effects:

  • Re-rolls every item and pickup in the shop.
  • Refills all empty shop slots.

The chance for the store to be restocked increases as more coins are donated.

In Treasure Rooms, the Restock Box will re-roll the item after donating enough pennies or hitting it with an explosion. It will not generate new items to replace taken ones. It will reroll all items in the room even if they were not originally present (e.g. items from beggars).

Restock Boxes can break after the fourth guaranteed reroll with a 50% chance for every subsequent reroll that should've been successful. This will cause them to drop a small amount of money.

Mom's Dressing Table is an object added in Booster Pack #2 of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth †. It has a 50% chance of appearing in the starting room of a floor if Isaac has more than 8 items.

If Isaac bumps into Mom's Dressing Table, his appearance will be randomly changed so that only a few of his items are displayed.

Hitting Mom's Dressing Table with an explosive will cause it to vanish and drop 1-4 pills. There is a 1% chance to spawn one of the following items instead: Mom's Underwear, Mom's Heels, Mom's Lipstick, Mom's Bra, Mom's Pad, Mom's Eyeshadow, Mom's Contacts, Mom's Wig, Mom's Perfume or Mom's Pearls.

Mom's Dressing Table is based on this Steam Workshop mod by Sinsthar.
